Green is the New Black

affordable style files baskets Blog green thumb greenery indoor plants pop and scott

Apartment living in Asia is all about the marble floors and bare walls. I don't know about you but I can't stand a bare wall or a floor. My new thing is greenery and lots of it. You will see from my Instagram that I'm a huge fan of fiddle leaf figs and succulents but lately I have been trying to branch out and introduce a couple of other species to my home. And let's not even mention my constant need to buy baskets and pots for these babies to sit in. So I contacted my gorgeous friend Alexandra Farrington who is a qualified landscape architect and all round gorgeous lady to give you some indoor plant suggestions. Apparently these are easy to maintain and there is a low chance of you killing them. But if you do don't shoot the messenger.

Here are the suggestions!

1. Zanzibar gem - so easy and beautifully glossy

2. Spathiphyllum (peace lily)...great for low light areas

3. Maranta (prayer plant)...variety of lovely patterned foliage

4. Anthurium...I used one in a kokedama moss ball and it is so happy and growing like crazy.

Want to know my favourite pots and planter baskets to use?

I love sea grass baskets and my new found loves Pop and Scott pots! Ushamama bags are also a go to as well.
