BALI ASF Style - part 1

We have been going to Bali since 2004 as a couple and then as a family so I have a real love for this island.

Our first trip there we fell in love with it so much we bought land and built our little villa getaway in Balian - west of Bali. We sold our villa last year but still continue to come back every year without fail.

Want to have a Bali wedding, build a villa, run a business in Bali? Yep I've done it and if you plan to make sure you understand that everything runs on Bali time but it will be the best experience ever!

We have stayed in various locations, hotels and villas over the island. Nusa Dua is our go to when we really don't want to be bothered and just want to relax by the pool and eat till our buttons pop! Family friendly hotels there are the Novotel Nusa Dua (big rooms and a kids club, Grand Hyatt (we got married here), Westin ( amazing amazing restaurants). Further into town we love the Intercontinental too! Great garden, rooms and pools! On the beach and in the evening you have all the fish and seafood cafés at your disposal!

In Seminyak/Legian area we stay at The Elysian Villas. It's a small boutique hotel and it's great for families. Easy walking distance to Seminyak square and all your eats, shopping and more! OCEN Outrigger has big rooms, the pool area is very small but the rooms are big. They only have showers but you can get baby bath tubs for little ones. It's got beach views and is across from the beach.

The Pullman Nirwana was good too. It's across from the beach, pools are fab for families and couples, breakfast is good and rooms can be big.

The best hotel ever in Bali in my opinion is the W! "Whatever, whenever" the W prides itself on providing the best experience ever!!! The restaurants are amazing and the quality is the best ever!!! The rooms are very lux and you will never want to leave! Make sure you eat Sunday brunch there. The mini wagyu sliders, oysters the size of your palms and the cocktails fab!!! It does come with a heft pricetag though. If you can't stay there just go eat there!!!

Once you find a good hotel you will always go back!

Some of my fave eats and drinks. Motel Mexicola, Sea Circus, Revolver, Mamasan, Sip Wine Bar, Métis, La Rustica, Cocoon Beach Club, Old Mans, Butter for cake and The W! El Kabron for sunsets and the amazing food and views! I tend to stick to what I know and love!

More soon!
